DNA Swap

05 June — 11 June 2015

GRAD welcomes you to a Slashstroke project exploring creative DNA through design, context and process with fashion design students from The British Higher School of Art and Design, Moscow and fashion communication students from Middlesex University

Fashion Communication students’ work

05 June 2015

Fashion Communication students’ work is about the modern communication of design in terms of art direction, styling, image making and editorial. Students will collaborate and communicate in the development of the project, working from different perspectives and sharing their process of work to produce a new platform of expression and engagement that promotes global networking and flexible, progressive thinking.

Over the past few weeks both sets of students have been swapping development work and experimenting and utilising each other’s ideas.

The final stage of their collaboration will be realised in situ at GRAD where a 3D set is being built to house and showcase the work-in-progress and resulting outcome. The public are invited to observe and take part in this experiment of sharing mixed references and ask their own questions on creative DNA and cultural origins.

The project will last from 5 till 11 of June 2015.
